Thursday, March 31 Our guest co-host on today’s first fundraising edition of The Front Row was Tobby Mattox from Society for the Performing Arts. Today on The Front Row Bob Stevenson spoke with Marie Speziale, director of the Shepherd School Brass Choir and composer Frank Proto. There is a performance featuring Mr. Proto’s work tonight at 8:00 in Rice University’s Stude Concert Hall. Audio here. Chris Johnson spoke with Conductor Emeritus Robert Linder of the Houston Civic Symphony. Mr. Linder brought along two of the four winners of a young artist competition who will perform with the Civic Symphony tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall. Audio here. Bob Stevenson also chatted with folk singer Bobby Bridger. He’ll perform the third part of his trilogy Lakota: Black Elk Speaks this Sunday afternoon at the Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston.
